Jeffrey Gilbert MD was born, raised and completely educated in the Bronx, NY. He attended PS31, JHS22, William Howard Taft High School, Herbert H. Lehman College and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He is the founder and medical director of the STD Center for Excellence at the Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. While in practice since 1975, the past 29 years have been devoted to both patient care and to the teaching and training of medical professionals. He is devoted to helping to improve the lot of others through acts of kindness. Jeff is also a recognized driftwood artist, with over 4000 pieces of driftwood art to his credit. Milton's Moment is the fulfillment of a promise he made many years ago to a dying friend.

Regina Farrell was born in Dublin, Ireland. Educated in Galway City, Ireland, she now lives in Yonkers, NY where she continues to work as an artist and illustrator.
